Mark Taylor, President & CEO

Mark Taylor, CEO of VDIworks, provides the visionary leadership to establish VDIworks at the front of the growing global VDI market segment.
With over 30 years of leadership in business and IT management, sales and consulting, Mark brings a wealth of knowledge and experience and provides the vision, leadership and direction vital to driving VDIworks flagship software forward as a worldwide industry leader.
Prior to VDIworks, Mark was VP of Sales & Channels for ClearCube Technology where he directed all domestic and international efforts through ClearCube Federal and Commercial sales executives and numerous partner relationships worldwide.
Mark holds a Business Finance & Marketing degree from Texas A&M University. He serves as Vice President on the Board of Directors for Imagine A Way, an Austin charity serving families with children diagnosed with autism. In his free time, Mark enjoys spending quality time with his family and friends, particularly relishing his new role as Papa to his 2 young granddaughters.
Muhammad Umair, Vice President Software Group

Muhammad Umair brings to VDIWorks over 10 years of experience leading software development teams. Umair is VP of Software Group at VDIworks, where he is responsible for all software development, project management, quality assurance, and product support.
Prior to joining VDIworks, Umair was Senior Technical Lead at JawDrop Development Partners, providing technical and subject matter expertise to start-up companies to insure successful product launches.
Before JawDrop, Umair was Development Manager at ClearCube Technology, Inc., where he led all software development efforts and played key roles developing and managing the company’s flagship software product.
Umair holds degrees in Computer Sciences from University of Texas at Austin and University of Central Punjab in Lahore, Pakistan. In his free time, Umair is an avid photographer.
Abubakr Sheikh, Director Software Group

Abubakr Sheikh is VDIworks’ Director for Software Group. With over 9 years of experience in software development, design and implementation, he is a leader in our core engineering group. Abubakr is involved with key research and development activities as well as customer outreach and tradeshow participation.
Prior to VDIworks, Abubakr was Senior Software Engineer at FiveRivers Technologies, where he played an important part in the development of numerous exciting projects involving technologies such as J2EE, .NET ,MySQL, LAMP, Perl, RoR and many other platforms and frameworks.
Abubakr holds a degree in Computer Science from the University of Central Punjab as well as technical certifications including VMware Certified Professional (VCP). During his free time, he loves to play Cricket and spend quality time with his family and friends.
Sabeen Dakhan, Project Manager

Sabeen Dakhan is VDIworks’ Austin-based Project Manager. She is responsible for defining project plans ,track and schedule project timelines and milestones ,interacting with customers and partners to define our product focus and feature-set. Sabeen has extensive prior experience in brand management, project management and marketing with companies like MTV.
Sabeen holds degrees in Computer Science as well as a Master’s in Business Administration from The Institute of Business Management, Pakistan. When she’s not defining roadmaps or delivering webinars, Sabeen loves to spend time with her two year old son.
Max Printz, Product Manager

Max Printz is VDIworks’ Product Manager for Application Insight and Log Analysis products. In this capacity, Max is responsible for development and promotion of the company’s new Xplora platform. Max participates in development, marketing and customer interaction.
Prior to VDIworks, Max has held several positions in the area of Systems Administration and Information Technology architecture. He brings these skills and experiences to bear in ensuring that Xplora solves real-world IT problems in the most practical and effective way possible. Max’ technical background includes centralized and virtual computing in enterprise environments. He has deep experience with Windows, Linux and Macintosh based enterprise setups.
Max’ education includes four years at the University of Texas at Austin in the engineering school, and a recent transfer to BS Mechanical Engineering program at the University of Texas at San Antonio. He has been active in fora such as the Society of Automotive Engineers and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
When not at work, Max enjoys watching Formula One with his fiance and playing video games with his brother and friends.
