The VDIworks Virtual Desktop Platform is an end-to-end VDI management system. Combining connection brokering, VM management, health, alerting, inventory, physical management and support for a variety of remoting protocols, all in a pre-integrated application.
- Improved manageability and control
- Remotely manage and allocate computing resources
- Lower IT management costs
- Flexibility to interoperate with heterogeneous environments
- Deep Integration with all Hypervisors
The VDIworks console provides universal discovery of all your managed assets, whether they are Virtual Machines, Hypervisors, Thin Clients, Blades, Servers or users and groups in your Active Directory environment. Once discovered, all these assets are then managed through a single, easy to use console that support views, filters and security rights delegation.
The Virtual Desktop Platform supports Linux and Windows Embedded thin clients. All major hypervisors, including VMware vSphere, KVM, Citrix XenServer and Microsoft Hyper-V are supported, not only for connection brokering – but through management API integration – also for power management, VM inventory, registration and a variety of other Hypervisor management tasks.
Enterprise-ready Security Model
VDP Console supports rights-delegation and fine-grained control over which features are accessible to which individuals. This means that a variety of IT roles: desktop administrators, help desk technicians and network admins can all use the VDP Console, each focused on their own delegated area of focus and competence. Since VDP provides full integration with Active Directory users and groups, existing user and group roles can simply be imported and mapped without any need for a secondary directory and/or rights mechanism.
